A family tool your workplace or member organisation can pass on

SAMRUM is a conversation tool for families: a private personality test, reports on the patterns between family members, and a moment guide for the hard moments. Employers, health insurers, pension funds and unions can make it available to employees and members as a benefit. The employee activates access themselves, the whole family can use it, and no data flows back to the organisation – only a count of how many families have activated.

What weighs at home comes along to work. SAMRUM is an employee benefit and member perk for the whole family – one you pay for but never look into.

Four professional tracks

SAMRUM is used differently depending on where you meet families. Pick the track that matches your work.

What happens at home comes along to work

  • Stress, sick leave and lost concentration often have a home component: a teenager who shuts down, a couple going round in circles about the same thing, a divorce, or a parent close to breaking. The workplace sees the consequence but has no access to the cause – and should not have it.
  • The existing offer arrives too late. Psychologist schemes kick in once it has become a problem. There is almost nothing between "we're fine" and "we need help" that a workplace can offer without stepping into private life.
  • Most employee benefits are aimed at the employee alone – and are rarely used by those who need them most. An offer for the whole family helps where the energy actually disappears.

A layer before the psychologist scheme

Most workplaces and insurers have a good offer for those who have already gone down. Few have anything for those on the way. SAMRUM sits in that gap.

  • Before it becomes a case

The family gets language for what is nagging while it is still a nag and not a sick note. No referral, no assessment, no waiting time.

  • The whole family, not just the employee

Partner, teenagers and children can take the test and be part of the reports. The pressure arises in the relationships – and that is where it can be eased.

  • No competition with what you have

SAMRUM replaces neither the psychologist scheme, EAP nor health insurance. It sits before them and relieves them when it works.

What is SAMRUM?

  • Test

Each family member takes an age-appropriate test – adults, teenagers and children. Answers are private: nobody can see anyone else's, not even within the family.

  • Report

AI-supported reports describe the patterns between two or more family members in everyday language. Not clinical, not judgmental – but precise.

  • Focus track

Four weeks of concrete moves in everyday life, based on the patterns the test found. At the family's own pace.

  • Right now

A moment guide for right after an argument. 90 seconds, and the family has a plan based on both people's profiles.

You pay. You see nothing.

That is the rule everything else is built on. An offer about family life only gets used if nobody at work ever finds out.

  • The employee activates access themselves. There is no list of who has taken up the offer, neither with you nor in a dashboard.
  • You get one number: how many families have activated. Not who, not when, not whether anyone has taken the test or opened a report.
  • There is no "share with employer" feature, and there never will be. Sharing in SAMRUM only happens between family members and with a practitioner the family chooses.
  • The family does not need to tell anyone at work that they use it. Access is labelled "made available by", but only the family sees the label.
  • SAMRUM makes no diagnoses, runs no wellbeing survey and produces no risk score. There is nothing to report back – and that is deliberate.

How it works

Four steps. Most of the work is on our side.

  1. 01

    Agreement

We agree scope and period: a number of seats for a workplace, or open access for a member organisation with settlement that follows usage. The agreement covers what access includes – e.g. reports and "Right now", possibly focus tracks too.

  2. 02

    Internal communication

You tell people about the offer on the intranet, in a newsletter or at a meeting. We provide copy, short explanations and answers to the questions that always come up – especially about privacy.

  3. 03

    Activation

The employee or member signs up on SAMRUM's own terms and activates access. The family is invited from there, like every other family.

  4. 04

    Use

The family takes the test, reads reports and uses "Right now" when needed. No checkout, no payment reminders, no upselling.

Who it suits

Same tool and same privacy rule – but three different ways to pass it on.

  • Workplaces

An employee benefit that reaches into the family – for all employees, not only those who ask for help. A fixed number of seats for an agreed period, typically a year.

  • Health insurers and pension funds

A low-threshold layer before the psychologist network, which can be part of a digital self-help universe. The customer activates it themselves, and the insurer sees neither who nor what. Scope and settlement follow your product structure.

  • Unions and member organisations

A member perk concrete enough to be mentioned in the welcome email. Open access for all members instead of a fixed number of seats – settlement is agreed based on usage.

What you get – and don't get

You get

  • A simple way for employees or members to activate access themselves – without you sending us any list.
  • Ready-made communication for intranet, newsletter and staff meeting, including answers about privacy.
  • One number: families that have activated. Reported periodically, never per person.
  • A contact person at SAMRUM and a joint evaluation when the period ends.

You don't get

  • Names, email addresses or any other list of who has activated.
  • Test answers, profiles, reports or any summary of them – not even aggregated.
  • Wellbeing survey, risk score, screening or anything else usable as management information.
  • Influence over the test questions, report content or the AI's output. The product is the same for everyone.

Can a workplace offer SAMRUM as an employee benefit?

Yes. The workplace agrees a number of seats for a period, the employee activates access themselves, and the whole family can use SAMRUM without paying. The workplace only gets one number back: how many families have activated. No names, no data, no reports. The model is new and is agreed individually with the first workplaces.

  • A fixed number of seats for an agreed period, typically a year
  • The employee activates themselves – no list with the employer
  • Partner, teenagers and children can take part
  • Only the number of activated families is reported back
  • No checkout and no upselling for the family

Can the employer see who uses SAMRUM?

No. There is no list of who has activated and no feature for sharing anything with an employer. Activation happens on SAMRUM's own terms, and the family's data belongs to the family. The workplace gets a total count of activated families – not who, not when, not what they used it for.

  • No name list, neither with the employer nor in a dashboard
  • No "share with employer" feature – and none is coming
  • Test answers are private, also within the family
  • Aggregated numbers never reveal profiles or report content
  • Data is hosted in the EU and can be deleted by the family at any time

Why would a workplace care about family life?

Because pressure at home comes along to work. Family conflict is a known contributing factor when stress and sick leave hit, and most workplace offers only start once it has become a case. A low-threshold offer for the whole family sits before the psychologist scheme and relieves it – without the workplace needing to know anything about what is going on.

  • Strain at home and at work amplify each other in both directions
  • Psychologist schemes and EAP typically start once it has become a problem
  • SAMRUM sits before that – while it is still something nagging
  • Reaches into the relationships, not just the employee
  • No management information – just an offer that gets used

Can a union or health insurer offer SAMRUM to members?

Yes. For member organisations a fixed number of seats rarely makes sense; instead, open access for all members is agreed, with settlement following usage – possibly with an agreed minimum. The member activates themselves, and the organisation only sees the total. For health insurers, SAMRUM can be a low-threshold layer in a digital self-help universe before the psychologist network.

  • Open access for all members instead of a fixed number of seats
  • Settlement agreed based on usage, not as a fixed number of seats
  • Concrete enough to sit in the welcome email to new members
  • Can be part of a health insurer's self-help offer before the psychologist network
  • Same privacy rule as for workplaces: only the number of activated families

Is SAMRUM a wellbeing survey?

No. SAMRUM does not measure workplace wellbeing and delivers no employee figures to management. It is a conversation tool for the family: a personality profile and reports describing patterns between family members in everyday language. No scores are flagged, and there is no material an employer could use as management information. That is a deliberate boundary.

  • No wellbeing survey, screening or risk score
  • No employee data to management or HR
  • Reports describe patterns in the family, not performance at work
  • Built on personality research, not workplace instruments
  • The family owns all data – the organisation only gets a total activation count

Frequently asked questions

Can we see who uses it?

No. There is no list of activated employees or members, and no feature for sharing anything with you. The employee activates themselves on SAMRUM's terms, and everything after that belongs to the family. You get a total count of activated families – not names, not timestamps, not content.

Can we see whether it works?

You get activation numbers and a joint evaluation when the period ends. If you want to measure effect, you can run your own anonymous employee or member survey; we provide no per-person effect data and run no wellbeing survey on your behalf. It is the same rule as for everything else: no data about individuals goes back to the organisation.

Is it an alternative to the psychologist scheme?

No, a layer before it. SAMRUM is a self-help and conversation tool for families who have something nagging but are not ready for, or in need of, therapy. When it works, it relieves the psychologist scheme. When a family needs more, the psychologist scheme is still the right path – SAMRUM points at nobody and refers to nothing.

Can the employee's partner and children use it?

Yes, that is the whole point. One activation covers the family: partner, teenagers (13+) and children (roughly 6–12 with a parent guide). Each person takes their own test privately, and the reports describe the patterns between those who have answered.

What does it cost – and who pays?

The organisation pays, the family pays nothing: no checkout, no paywall, no upselling. For workplaces, a number of seats for a period is agreed; for member organisations, open access where settlement is agreed based on usage, possibly with a minimum. Prices are agreed individually because the model is new. Without an agreement anyone can still recommend SAMRUM; the test and profile are then free, and the family pays for reports themselves. See prices for consumer prices.

What happens when the agreement ends?

The family keeps its account, its profiles and the reports it has already received. New reports then cost the same as for everyone else, unless the agreement is extended. The family is notified well in advance, and nobody is asked to pay for anything they did not choose.

What do we have to do ourselves?

Tell people about the offer. That really is all. We provide copy for intranet and newsletter, a short explanation for staff meetings and answers to the questions that always come up – especially about privacy. Nothing needs integrating, no SSO, no employee list sent to us.

What about GDPR?

The simple answer is that we process no data on your behalf. The employee or member signs up directly with SAMRUM on our own terms and privacy policy, and you send us no personal data – no names, email addresses or staff lists. That is why a data processing agreement is typically not required. We are happy to provide a short description of the data flow for your DPO.

Is this about the workplace or about the family?

About the family. SAMRUM produces no team reports, no collaboration profiles and nothing about the workplace as such. The employee's profile never becomes employer data – the offer is a benefit for home life, not a tool for working life.
